The Best Actor Wants A Divorce

I thought I was miserable enough, hitting my head and losing my memories, but I didn't think my husband of seven years would divorce me. Gu Qingrang said it's fine to get a divorce! I've forgotten everything anyways, so I can just find another one afterward. He's just a wild horse on the field, wanton and unrestrained. Wait, why is my ex-husband chasing after me?! Aaaahhh!!!

Not worth reading, there's no logic in this, the characters are immature and don't take their jobs seriously, there's constant misunderstandings and they never have an actual serious conversation with each other, the relationships are toxic and no one is treated with respect. I feel like I wasted my time reading it all and the only reason I did read it was because I wanted to find out what actually happened in the past the mc forgot about, I blame my curiosity. I should've dropped this at chapter 30 cos it just got worse and worse.  For anyone who started reading this and want to drop but wants to find out what actually happened here I shall spoil the story (the main parts at least, there's so much stuff happening it's like the author just kept throwing in ideas to make more chapters): Characters from left to right are: Gu Qingrang, Jiang Yichen, Feng Jin, Lin Yan and Shen Zhiyun.      The main character, Gu Qingrang, had an accident on set and lost his memories of the past 7 years of his marriage with the male lead, Jiang Yichen, and his memories of his childhood friend Shen Zhiyan (brother of Shen Zhiyun). Jiang Yichen brought up divorce and since Qingrang thought he was cheating on him with Shen Zhiyunhe agreed. But in truth, Shen Zhiyun was threatening Jiang Yichen by blaming Qingrang for his brother's death. What actually happened was that on the day Qingrang and Zhiyan went boating, Qingrang asked him if he liked Jiang (he suspected this because the two of them were close), Zhiyan said that the one he liked was Qingrang himself and pushed him down, as Qingrang pushed him away he fall into the water. Then Zhiyan tried to save him but since he couldn't swim he drowned. Somehow Jiang arrived at the scene and saved Qingrang first but lost his hearing as an after effect due to nerve damage (idk how this happened when he was just saving someone from drowning, but it's a manhua what can I expect, there will never be logic).  Since Qingrang lost his memories and Jiang wanted to hide what happened from him, he didn't tell him he was deaf (calling it an imperfection and using lip reading to communicate). It's sad that he can't accept his disability and continues to put so much effort into pretending not to be deaf by lip reading. I often see that people with disabilities are ridiculed in manhuas and not treated with respect (I've seen mute, blind, deaf and wheelchair bound characters being treated as lesser than others and it always has to be "cured" for them to be happy, as if people with disabilities can't be happy, what makes them miserable in these manuuas is how other people treat them and not the disability itself) it makes me sick. Though the focus isn't on his disability I still felt the need to rant. Also, in this manhua he doesn't regain his hearing so I'm not talking about this story specifically.  Anyways, to summarize what happens throughout the story it's basically the both of them not working when they're at work, Jiang following Qingrang around, no communication and just them making assumptions about each other like children, Jiang throwing his money around and paying people to leave good reviews for Qingrangs reputation whenever something happens, Qingrang treating Jiang as his wallet and people ending up in the hospital every other chapter. I mean, the thing that bothers me most is how these people don't take their jobs seriously, Jiang uses his company's money however he wants and leaves in the middle of work whenever something happens to Qingrang in order to run after him (even booking plane tickets if Qingrang is in another country), this man needs to turn off his phone at work. Hospital staff also like to take pictures of their patients and post of weibo for gossip. Jiang intrudes on Qingrang's work all the time and Qingrang doesn't seem to take his job seriously either. It's incredibly frustrating. In the end, Qingrang seems to have created his own agency after breaking his contract, yet again. It's a happily ever after, this childish couple deserves each other and I feel bad for the people who work for them. Secondary couple: Lin Yan x Feng Jin. Read chapter 75 to find out what happened in the past. Basically, Feng Jin had abusive parents, when he was in high school he met Lin Yan and they started dating, he was happy, but one day Feng Jin's mom tricked him by saying Lin Yan wanted to meet him and sold her son to an old man. That's when Lin Yan misunderstood and thought Feng Jin cheated, then proceeded to treat him horribly, extorting his money and abusing him for years. When Feng Jin tried to cut ties, Lin Yan abducted him and forced him to stay by his side whilst pretending to date another guy to hurt him and whilst forcing him to take medications (they said it was for depression and anxiety but later Feng Jin was diagnosed with schizophrenia and they said he could have lifelong issues due to being force fed meds, honestly it doesn't make sense it could be a translation issue or the writer just making stuff up). The fact that Feng Jin never told Lin Yan what happened back then isn't explained but I assume it was traumatic and he doesn't remember (in one chapter Feng jin said "how did we end up like this" whilst reminiscing about the past). In the end, Feng Jin pretends to date his doctor to get away from Lin Yan even though he still has feelings for him and Lin Yan believes it and eventually backs off after Feng Jin jumps off the roof. They don't seem to get back together so their ending is open. It seems Feng Jin recovered slowly and got back to acting in the end. ENDNOTE/RANT: I think that it's the difference in culture that makes me dislike most mahuas or maybe most good mahuas just don't get translated so I don't have the chance to read them. There are some good manhuas out there but most of them are just not good (they seem to condone abusive relationships and are very classist, when it's a bl one partner is usually mistreated by the one with more power and later the one doing the abuse acts like they're sorry, are forgiven and continue receiving love from the partner who was abused, same thing happens in straight romance manhua where there's rampant misogyny, and when there's a harem women are even more objectified). Characters always seem to act immature and when someone gets hurt, like if they literally just scrape their knee they get carried away to a hospital for treatment. I could go on but I'm gonna stop here. That's all, byeee.
