Both series are about FL wishing to change the tragic life/future of ML after reading the novels about them. In the novels that FL read, the ML in both series have very miserable childhoods but their lives change after meeting the heroines and fell in love. Unfortunately,B the heroines don't feel the same. And because of that love, they commit crimes that cause them to die tragically. After seeing how terrible the ML's lives end after so much suffering in the novel, the FL wish to change the story and make ML happy so she somehow gets transported into the novels.

Note: the heroines aren't the FL in both series.

Ambas as protagonistas são de outro mundo e querem salvar uma personagem da história que estão a ler no momento. São 2 histórias com romance e fantasia.

In both of them the female lead is transported to a novel world in order to save the villan of a sad ending.

keithashiyami keithashiyami says...

Both female MCs were sympathizers of the novels' antagonists and were given a chance to heal their broken hearts when they were transported to the world of novel as extra characters.

Bacteria Bacteria says...

The male leads are vastly different; the only similarity are that they are both clingy. The protagonist in "How I Became a Duke's Maid" is much more appealing than "The Villian's Savior," no cap.

Villains Are Destined to Die

Villains Are Destined to Die

This game’s got me obsessed! It’s like it’s taken over my life... wait—HARD MODE ACTIVATED. No-no-no-no-no! It has literally taken me and thrown me into the part of Penelope Eckhart. Love is easy as the heroine, but as the hated villainess, I’m trying very hard not to die… at the hands of my brothers… the prince… a fork… every possible ending is death! This world is stacked against me, but can my wits and insider game knowledge score the affection of these male characters? Or the reset button???

Death is the Only Ending for the Villainess has a similar "tragedy" aspect to it, despite not playing a big enough role to be labelled as one of the genres. The female protag. of this webcomic is very alert of her situation and wants to find a way to save her life. Kind of similar to the situation in The Villain's Savior, but opposite. (Instead of saving the meal lead's life, it's the own female protaganist's.) Whether or not it is the same, you'll enjoy the story as well. I know I have.

Amayalee Amayalee says...

Destined to die is a story on the moral of forgiveness and the humanness of individuals as there are no clear cut villains, similarly the villains savior plays on these story morals of the psychology and humanity. In destined to die we become empathetic of the villain penelope and see her as a human alongside the male leads who killed her, in the villains savior we see a girls strong resonance with a villain in her love see his humanity that was stamped out due to trauma. Its a story of forgiveness of ourselves.

Recommended mainly due to similar grim fairy tale vibes.

They both have amazing art, and their arts have the same vibe. Both arts have beautiful details and lighting. There's also blood in both webtoons. Both have a dark atmosphere to them, though for different reasons.

To be honest, the FL and plot of both stories aren't that similar. TWTKAOBOTHS has a much stronger and more cunning FL, while TVS has a softer one. TVS has a much nicer family as well.

But I thought the vibes were similar, especially the art, so why not recommend?

In the Villainess Turns the Hourglass, the main characters action after returning to the past saved the Prince from the tragic ending. Similarly, The Villain's Savior main character tried to change Aseph's future as well.

Villainess in Love

So I’ve become Yunifer Magnolia, the villainess who’s crazed with jealousy that Duke Ishid Lucrenze, the devastatingly handsome hero, has eyes only for Raelle, Yunifer’s best friend. Yunifer torments Raelle so much that Yunifer’s killed off at the end. But... I’M Yunifer now. UGH! Good news is, I’ve reincarnated a year before her tragic end, so there’s time to make sure Ishid and Raelle have a fairy tale ending (and I stay alive). Bad news is, I got drunk and woke up with Ishid next to me. Crap.
