Following her reincarnation into the body of a storybook princess, little Asya only wants one thing: to bake lots of sweet and delectable desserts! Of course, her family is the poorest of the poor, but she’s willing to do whatever it takes to protect her dream and live a peaceful life surrounded by cookies. Unfortunately for her, Asya realizes that she is actually the malevolent Princess Anastasia, a girl who was blessed by a great and powerful spirit, whose hubris brings about her own miserable destruction. But where there’s a will, there’s a way, and Asya isn’t above using her childish charms and excellent baking skills to secure her safety! If you're tired of characters fighting for their lives by committing murder, treading the thin lines between warring noble factions, or straight-up romance then The Villain Princess Wants To Live In A Confectionery Shop is definitely a manga you should read. Cute characters? Yep. Fantasy and magical elements? Present. Attractive male leads? Accounted for. The female lead isn't a strong and independent princess, per se, however that is her strong suit. In order to escape the plot of the story she barely remembers, she must avoid conflict between the male leads until she grows older, despite being blessed with enough power to usurp the current king. How does she go about it? Through food of course! She creates baked goods previously unheard of and unimagined by the current world and gives them to all of the obstacles in her path. Her spirit generously aids her in crafting what she vaguely remembers from memory. There are plot points but they're never too tense or too stressful to read through so this manga is great if you just want great vibes and good times, within reason!

It's pretty fine. It honestly starts out mostly generic but with some interesting ideas (such as the parents we barely get to see, they're cool characters, or the idea that the entire goal is cooking and eating food), and it keeps it up with very little variation. It's not super interesting and they could embrace the baking gimmick even more, but it's absolutely fine. Nothing wrong with it. Not boring. Just really fine.

Art is nice i like the concept how everyone has a spirit its like their own little pokemon i enjoyed this alot because fl can bake and she has a really strong spirit that helps her and she tries to be lowkey so the emperor doesnt make her a rival competition with her cousin crown prince its really nice to see all these characters dotting on her once they get to know her, how fl is really down to earth and kind love the interaction between fl and ml too
