I thought I’d been reincarnated as Aisha, a child in a dirt poor but happy family, when one day... “We are here to pick up Her Royal Highness Anastasia, the imperial grandchild!” ...It seems I’ve possessed the body of the princess who, in the ‘original story’, craved power, only to meet a tragic end. To demonstrate that I was not interested in power, and to fulfil a dream of being a patissier that I could not achieve in my past life, I baked sweets with the help of a contracted spirit. You’ll feel better if you eat something delicious, and you won’t have to kill me! But the harsh and heartless emperor (grandfather), and the Crown Prince (cousin) who will bring me to ruin, as well as the young duke (cousin’s friend) who is the greatest knight in the empire, and even the slave knight (elf) who stabbed me...
It's a manga with a wholesome plot I have read untill chapter 33 now and it is a fun manga with humourous characters
It felt like boring to read. Not much personality to the characters eitehr. She cooks so little too. I came here solely for reading cooking material but there was so little that it felt utterly disappointing.
If you're tired of characters fighting for their lives by committing murder, treading the thin lines between warring noble factions, or straight-up romance then The Villain Princess Wants To Live In A Confectionery Shop is definitely a manga you should read. Cute characters? Yep. Fantasy and magical elements? Present. Attractive male leads? Accounted for. The female lead isn't a strong and independent princess, per se, however that is her strong suit. In order to escape the plot of the story she barely remembers, she must avoid conflict between the male leads until she grows older, despite being blessed with enough power to usurp the current king. How does she go about it? Through food of course! She creates baked goods previously unheard of and unimagined by the current world and gives them to all of the obstacles in her path. Her spirit generously aids her in crafting what she vaguely remembers from memory. There are plot points but they're never too tense or too stressful to read through so this manga is great if you just want great vibes and good times, within reason!
