The series is adaptation of LN having several Flavors mainly comedy, yuri and drama. Story follows Terakomari young vampire lady of noble lineage. After certain incident involving being bullied, she withdraws from the world and secludes herself in her room dreaming of being novelist. However, one day a mysterious and overly affective maid appears. She announces herself as her new personal maid. She brings also news, that Terakomari has been assigned position of one of seven generals by the empress. This terrifies Terakomari greatly as she doesn’t drink blood, has no fighting skill and no magic. There is nothing to be done she has to accept the role and pretend with the support of reassuring maid that she is very powerful vampire. If she fails, the most ruffian unit, she has been assigned to is sure to rebel, overthrown her and destroy her social position completely. The series is bit mix of several things. There is some yuri fanservice mainly with the maid, but nothing too explicit. I like the comedy. For an example one officer of MC’s squad wants to attack her, but he gets instantly killed by a door, because MC gets scared and shuts the door in his face. I find very funny some of the other officers as they have quite degenerate side to them especially first lieutenant Konto [1]. Main antagonist is way too close to simple pure evil type of character so far. Visually manga looks good. Characters’ expressions are great. There are some fanservice panels. Overall, I had good time reading this. So far, the story just started. It’s bit too soon to make some final verdict, but I like what I see. It has definitely potential to be interesting. Style of comedy might not be for everyone. This review is written after reading 2 volumes (all existing at the time) equivalent to 10 chapters. Japanese difficulty 5/10 (see my profile for details about various difficulty scores) The series is seinen without furigana except for introduction of names. It does use occasionally some not so common expressions and vocabulary. Text volume is above average. Text density is mostly average. Spoilers [1] He is into young girls such as MC. He has even collected secretly strain of her hairs. He uses them to track her down, after certain incident.
