It has some solid moments, for sure, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant and endearing. The "I have...no friends" line induced a grin in me. The way that Shishido waited for days to eat gyudon together with Onizuka was sweet. Onizuka's backstory was well-told and the emotional resolution provided for it in chapter 7 touched my heart. I also appreciated that a fight scene was included within the story proper instead of solely being alluded to within the references to Onizuka's reputation. Through Shishido's perspective, we see Onizuka learn how to socially interact better--not frown as often, talk to people without needing a reason to, and so on. And we also see firsthand as Shishido starts to fall in love with Onizuka. The romance was fine, I guess, though there honestly aren't any moments that are hugely romantic or heart-tugging or whatever.

This was just everything honestly..! I don't know why I liked it so much but I guess it was just the way the story was written so well, the pace was just right with the perfect amount of chapters. Was pretty satisfied with it as you can see from what I've given it- I loved both the leads so much!! The way they became friends felt so right and as you read through it, you'll be able to see how they slowly become closer and comfortable with each other <3 I really don't want to ramble and potentially repeat myself and so, just give it a read and you won't be disappointed, really!!

It's decent, likable and overall pretty cute. Not problematic at all. The plot was kinda overused, which I didn't like. Also I didn't like how Junpei was drawn, his character looked ugly to me but I guess that's just personal taste. Overall it's nice but not much more.
