The Swordmaster's Son - Reviews

If you read this manwha, you'll definitely like it. The MC is strong and assertive, the plot is okay and the art is of course very nice. I still can't figure out how going back to the past is enough for MC to be strong but well, we don't really read those for the logic do we. My only problem is that it feels very bland. It's as if the author took a random Korean MC from those dungeon stories and put him there in a full fantasy setting. You'll notice what i'm talking about as you read the manwha. It was still okay when he was a child but as soon as he grew up, he went from normal fantasy looking dude to normal Korean dude. He is the only character that looks out of pace because he wears a white shirt with a black pant when everybody else is wearing some kind of attire. His hair is also the blandest when everybody else got crazy hairs. It's as if Korean authors only know to write and draw one type of MC: the always serious MC who dresses in shirts and is OP af for no reason. Anyway as I said it's a good read but very forgettable if you've read enough of these.

Gripping and Exhilarating!

MC who was the shame of his family due to non-existent talent caused by an unknown curse gets regressed and traverses through the politics and endangering missions of his family to acquire the seat of the patriarch.

MC is cold, calculating and ruthless to his enemies. The whole family circumstance is fresh and well pieced together. The flow of the story is addictive, the Art is amazing, Fight scenes are LIT and the characters are written well.

Definitely on my priority list.

Classic but fun to read. The plot is Classic but still entertainin.

So far so good! Not to interesting but an enjoyable read 

It's a simple story. If you like action manhwas this would be a turn your brain off read

I read till chapter 98. 

This story is average at best, only the art is good.

Started out nice but then just became stupid, especially after you learn of some of the plot secrets, it became a boring story.

They love saying "that person" so damn much that it's infuriating, it's not even a mystery at this point. 

Character 1: "let's do as "that person" ordered

Character 2: "yeah, "that person" wouldn't like failure

Yeah surely normal people talk like that.

The plot itself is "mc good guy and there's a bad guy", it's so one dimensional. 

bad guys are only bad guys. decisions and choices that characters take sound so stupid in reality. 

MC is overpowered but author loves having someone double his power fight him in any action scene when it's not needed just to add a thriller and there are a lot of opportunities for mc to kill the "bad guys" that he fought, but they always slip away.

I loved the story at the start (hence read till 98) but now it's beyond redemption, I can basically predict how it'll go.
