After sleeping a total of 10,000 hours inside Idea, the hottest online game around, Lee Hyunsung becomes one overpowered player! He's given an exclusive hidden class with an array of unique skills, and one of which allows him to fight in his sleep! He's slowly making his way up to the top, and everyone from the developers to other players are starting to take notice of this odd rookie. Will Hyunsung eventually become the top ranker in Idea? Or is this all just a dream that's too good to be true?
While the art is aboveaverage, the story is underwhelming if you are already acquainted with the full-dive games style korean stories. While the ones that promoted the genre like the 'The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor' had the ultimate Job Rank as Legendary, this one made the ultimate be 'God'. While that can be okay, the stor relies heavily on the rank being better than Legendary, and the idea that it makes it better than other stories bc of that. The story is a bit oversaturated currently in the market and the only thing that makes it stand out is the 'God' rank (uselles for the story, could have been anything else by my opinion) and the fact that he sleeps and has a skill called 'Narcolepsy'. Also his parents are dead and he had to take care of his disabled sister. Who would have thought. While the artstyle is great, the characters have superficial personalities and nothing makes them feel real. This opinion can change but for now it stays. Overall the Manhwa would be great, if it had it's own story and not just the overlysaturated one on the current market.
Sleeping Ranker[Review] By Cheon Jin-Hee Story: The story is based around a immersive virtual reality MMORPG game, similar to Worn And Torn Newbie, The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, etc. It has the generic MC who wants to earn money through the game, and the unique "Overpowered Factor" is the MC's "God-Class Job"(The Sleeping Thing). However it just contains the MC using his job to surprise people with his skill, get recruited to a powerful guild, help his guild, mostly stuff you would find in the full-dive MMORPG category. The only difference is the unique sleeping power. Art: At first glance, it is obvious the art is on another tier; brilliant work. Personally I feel this is the highlight of this series. Characters: Generic characters; the reason MC wants to earn money is for his family. MC is overpowered and shows it off to some pwerful guild members, those guild members "whoo, suprised". Overall: If you liked The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, Worn And Torn Newbie, Overgeared, Solo Spell Caster, The Game That I Came From, you will probaly like this series. This series is more of a chill one, then an intense edge-of-your-seat read. Thanks for reading.
The main character has a problem sleeping in the real world. So he sleeps in a vrmmo game. After he had completed 10,000 hours of sleep in the game he unlocked a secret legendary class with very overpowered skill set. The main character this is that this class has some potential and if he takes the game seriously now. He can level up family then others and make a ton of cash along the way. The story is good but a little bit generic. it is more focused on drama. The art is amazing. It shines the most during fight scenes. The characters are also pretty generic. Other then that it is a decent read for vrmmo fans.
