The kingdom of Liones is thrown into turmoil when the king's Holy Knights are corrupted by a distinctly unholy demonic power. The land's only hope is a band of powerful warriors known as The Seven Deadly Sins - an eccentric group of oddballs who seem to spend as much time fighting each other as they do fighting their enemies. Princess Elizabeth desperately seeks their aid, but the leader of her would-be saviors turns out to be an undersized pervert with a broken blade and a talking pig! They are soon joined by a jealous giant, a fussy fairy, and an immortal bandit pining over his lost love. Can these people really be the legendary heroes she's looking for?
TL;DR: Eeeehhhh this manga should've ended like 20 chapters ago (currently on 323). The only reason I'm continuing to read it is because I feel like after so many hours I've poured into reading this, it'd be a shame not to finish it. But holy moly, the mangaka keeps beating a dead horse. There was a perfect opportunity to end this manga and he decided to pull some stupid "plot twists" just to drag this out even longer. Instead of a really, really good ending, now they're trying to opt for a "happy" ending where everyone's all happy and blah blah blah. The manga up until near the end of 310 is 5/5, excellent. From the "plot twist" at the end of 310 until current chapter? Just garbage. Absolutely completely trash. Nothing makes sense anymore. I just wish the mangaka could end this already. They spoiled something that was so, so good by sprinkling a bunch of B.S. to the end.
I've spend so many hours reading this, I loved this manga so much. It will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first one I read. So I really want to still love this manga but I don't. I've completely dropped it after reading 315 chapters. Why? Because it to me lost everything that was special about it. When I started it out there was so much mystery to it, I couldn't help wanting to read more. But now so many chapters in, absolutely everything has been explained, it has become so boring and uninspired. The last 50 chapters, mabye more, has been a waste of my time. Except for like 5 of them. I guess that's my farewell to this manga
I absolutely LOVE this manga. Nanatsu no Taizai has great characters with interesting backstories and personalities. The art is FANTASTIC! The story is AMAZING! It updates weekly, so I look forward to reading the new chapters in English on the weekends. It's mixed with fantasy, action, and romance which is my favorite combination. There is so much foreshadowing and so many cliffhangers!! I really like how all of the characters develop and change, and the awesome powers they have!! Season 1 of the anime was pretty good but left out a couple things from the manga, and I can't wait to see Season 2 with all of the new characters! The Commandments arc is turning out to be longer than the Liones arc. The Liones arc was 100 chapters, and currently there are over 100 chapters for the Commandments arc. The author has said that he has planned out this Manga, and that he wants it to be 3 arcs. The story plot of this manga is unlike anything I have ever seen. It doesn't seem like there is any absolute right or wrong, or good and bad, and that's one of the things I love about it. All sides have their own story, which is really cool. The backstories of all of the characters are different and unique, I enjoy learning about all of the Sins and their backgrounds, but Merlin is still a mystery to me and there is still more to learn about Meliodas, and maybe some of the other Sins. Like I said before, there is a lot of foreshadowing and cliffhangers that keep it interesting to read. The characters are all amazing in their own ways. They grow and develop as the plot goes, and I have came to ship some of the characters, especially two of them because of recent chapters. I like the different powers and abilities that each of them possess, but some of the characters are a little overpowered to me, though. I think that the ties that Meliodas and Elizabeth have to other characters are pretty interesting, and other characters have interesting friend and family ties as well. There is not much that I can say about the art, other than it is really good. You can really tell how much the author puts in to designing the characters and surroundings. Sometimes I look over the art because I can't tell what's happening, but that doesn't happen a lot for me. Sometimes, if you look in to some of the smaller details in some of the pages, there is some foreshadowing. Overall, this manga is really good, and I would definitely recommend it!!
