watched the anime was good started reading the manga and all i have to say is tanya rideing a bike is the most adorible thing i have ever seen also there is a bunch of stuff in the manga that doesnt happen in the anime so theres your excuse to relive the storie

I dropped this a second time at chapter 3 (originally I read a little more but that was some years ago) So Tanya is a good series overall, has a nice setup, cool world, it's unique as an isekai can be and it's not hard on the eyes. So what's my issue with it? A couple of things: 1.- Characters: They're not bad but to be honest I just couldn't like the MC at all. I can't even fully remember any other characters by name nor face. The MC has quite a nasty personality for my taste so I just couldn't get behind him/her. 2.- Trivia. Trivia is cool. Dr. Stone does this every chapter and it's genuinely interesting. Trivia on Tanya tho... it's dropped too often as a side note or as an inner thought by the MC connecting his/her previous life knowledge, which can get annoying too fast for some (like me). 3.- Fan service. I don't mean the 'kya don't look at my pantsu!' kind but more like the 'let's make this character as moe as possible and badass as possible'. I can enjoy an overpowered character (I do like several series with op mc) but I just felt it was waaaay too forced in this manga. 4.- The world is lost. There's too much time focusing on the mc and too little time focusing on the world. You do get a snip of it here and there but most of the time the focus is on the MC and how badass he/she is. In general it's not a bad series, I can completely understand why some people like it or why some will like it. It caters to a certain audience, which i'm not part of. Give it a try if you're into powerful moe characters, militarism and real world history.

I love this manga. I rate things not on how "good" or "perfect" it is, I rate things on how enjoyable they are. I think that this is one of the most unique and fun Isekai manga there is. I can understand that some people will not like the MC's attitude, or the other characters. However, I think that this story compliments the attitudes extremely well, maybe not realistic, but I do not read manga for realism.  The MC is a Loli and there is some fan service, but I do not think that it gets in the way of the story whatsoever. She has the "mentality" of a man, because she was originally a man before she was isekai'd into this world. This world is essentially a senario where history is very similar to Eath, but every so slightly off. It's a WW1 senario with magic. Germany is alone, and goes by a different name. In fact, all of the countries have different names but still exist, but with some differences. The "lore" of this world, essentially shadows ours.  The other characters can be a little off at some points, but I quite enjoy their attitude. I think it compliments the MC very well.  Personally, I think that giving it a try is the best way to get a feel for this manga. I think that the first few chapters are the deciding parts for a reader. If you get past those chapters, I feel that there is a good chance you will enjoy this manga.
