The story was quite interesting, especially MC's character development. The depiction of trauma & abuse MC's suffered to the point of it was affected her choice was realistic. Her relationship with ML was build naturally but in condition that wasn't realistic at all 😂 ML was a green flag but he was too easy to be fooled, despite his depiction as king's right hand & commander. Sometimes there was inconsistencies & illogical things between characters. The art & character design were great but they're similiar to each other. Reviewed at chapter 53.

I love making reviews of mangas with less than 5 chapters because I come back later on and see whether I made the correct guess or the wrong one. Let's see how we'll fare with this manhwa!  The Princess of the Attic is shaping up to be an engaging read - the FL is abused and left alone, cursed to live her life in desolation due to her mother's parting curse before she dies. She pretends to be mentally underaged, kind of like The Princess Is Crazy (I forgot the actual title), but she is gifted with a water spirit. The empire is slowly dying from a drought and it seems like she'll eventually use her powers as leverage over them. Art style is so-so thus far, nothing too notable to say. The opening chapters provided context on the empire's history and situation so a little world building for now. Now for the guesses!  Revenge manhwa where she'll be married off to a far-off empire  The Prince will be the equivalent of the cold, Duke of the North type - uncaring and doesn't want to do anything with her at first. She slowly wins him over through either telling him that she faked her condition or he gains her trust and she lets him know of her plans. The FL gains notoriety by becoming useful to the other kingdom through her spirit / powers. She'll eventually use this to crush armies or something? I haven't read the novel so I have no clue where the story is going. I'll update this review on Chapter 20!  Reviewed at Chapter 2.

Currently read up to chapter 3. Will try and update when more chapters are released. Ok. So I typically hold off on new titles that are still starting off, but sometimes my curiosity gets the better of me and it's even better when it feels like I struck gold. The pacing so far has been pretty consistent (i.e., setting up a history, creating a religion, showing power dynamics, character values, motives, drives & more) all in a matter of 3 chapters. I have very high expectations and can't wait to read future chapters!
