Areum has fallen into a strange world called 'Soltera' after a car accident. She is mistaken for a vampire because of her hair color, and she is sold to a Duke’s house by a slave trader. The identity of Millard Travis the master of the Duke’s house that bought her is the one and only vampire in the world! Desperate to survive in any way, Areum becomes Millard's direct servant, vowing to serve him as her master. Areum tries to belly up on Millard day by day and his attitude starts to change.
A decent story, if taken with a grain of salt, portraying the somewhat unhealthy relationship between a man whose vampirism is basically just a gimick, and an isekai'd korean woman. Personally, I call 'Stockholm syndrome' to an extent, and am uncomfortable with the degrees of manipulation present, but it's still a decent read. Just wouldn't give this to impressionable youths, is all. Pros: A completed work, decent art, something to read, not disgustingly chauvanistic, some plot that makes you curious Cons: cliche vampire stuff that's mostly off screen after chapter 1-2, unhealthy amounts of secrecy and manipulation, bullying
This is a really good manga especially for starters who are new to reading mangas like im new and this is really nice start to intoduced me to mangas.
I think that this manhwa would be great if you're just starting to read these types of stories. It's rather straightforward and it does have many things that could be enjoyed. You start to see change between the characters quick, the art is nice and it's not too overtly dramatic. Although, I also have to say that this is best enjoyed as a quick read when you're bored or just want something to read while waiting for other stuff to get updated. I think enjoyed the fact that the author chose to adress the issue how threatening the FL's life doesn't simply disappear and it influenced her, as there are far too many mangas that ignore this type of trauma , however I felt that the ML didn't really change at all. I don't mind showing different types of relationships, but the amount of manipulation and how easily it was ignored not just in the beggining made me bothered. Not to mention the ending felt so abrupt, even the side stories didn't really help it. But of course, I enjoyed the couples cuteness, although I wish they addressed the manipulative behaviour...
