It got boring fast. Nothing special about the setting, and the MC is the only interesting person. I think I'll try this again in a few weeks.

Had an amazing beginning, cool momments, but over time the direction was all over the place. Momments in between fight scenes became annoying: because why would you be talking to each other when you could rush to help your friend. Also many plot points were ignored and the power scaling began to not make sense. The main character would often then not beat a lot of characters that were stated to be better than him only because of one specific weakness or power boost he would have out of no where, and I understand that this how the plot is driven but after it being used repeatedly it became annoying. The main character isn't relatable and has only but so much depth. After his main plot point his resovled, there isn't much of a reason to root for the MC. Other characters other than the MC, main side character, and a little amount of others don't have much depth. Villains didn't have much depth and since the MC would always "out thinking" them all the time, the story never had any stakes. So when the MC does save the day it's never meet with a applaud from the reader but instead causes them to read the next chapter mindlessly. Other then these details the manga is very enjoyable and exciting but is generic with a couple of indeferents.

Warnings: graphic violence, mental instability, cruel death game.  In case you didn’t catch that, the summary was a bit subtle and the cover photo didn’t make me think it was going to be as violent as it is… A broken man, nearly insane from grief at the loss of his young wife and very young daughter, willing to do anything for the chance at seeing them again- this is not your lighthearted OP MC manhua.  As you’ll find out in chapter 1 while watching said MC have a mental breakdown.  A game where only those willing to fight and kill survive, often coated in blood.  It’s not namby pamby, it’s gritty, and it’s honestly pretty good.  The art is really rough in a lot of places, flat coloring with barely any shading, but it fits the violent world pretty well so it’s fine.  The story keeps you interested, even if it’s a pretty straightforward ‘get exp, be the strongest, reach goal’ kind of story.  I’ve been pretty impressed at the side characters not being all cut+paste NPCs.  All in all, I’d give it a chance so long as you aren’t expecting the best of the best quality.
