The Hero Returns

With the unexplained emergence of dungeons came a relentless onslaught of monsters that overwhelmed humanity. Even the Awakened, humans with special abilities to fight monsters, couldn’t stop the destruction of the world. In the end, only Sungin Kim, the most powerful Awakened, was left standing. Upon his death, Sungin wakes up twenty years in the past as an unassuming high school student named Soohyun Kim. He’s not sure how or why he was brought back, but he does know this is his second chance to save the world and redeem himself as a hero.

The Hero Returns[Review] By Black-Ajin Story: The story seems like a rather generic revenge-vengeance story, with the element of the time travelled MC using his knowledge to become stronger. It is just passing, as to me, it feels rather bland and boring. Art: The art is alright, not really anything unique to it. Characters: The MC is calm, cool-headed and collected, while being ruthless and storng. He appears extremely intelligient and knowledgable. Overall: Would not recommend this series;it is rather generic and similar to all other revenge-vengeance stories. Thanks for readinmg my review!

At first it looks like a generic returner type manhwa but it is a very well polished manhwa with a likeable main character. The overall world building and story are marvelous as usual. The pacing of the story is well balanced. You never feel like the pacing is too fast or too laid back. The art and fight scenes are also lit.

If generic manhwas are your things then by all means give it a try. For the rest, I guess it's only worth a try if you are done with other more interesting titles, this is one of those stories that take no chances and does nothing outside of what's mainstream, the good is that there is nothing particularly bad about it, but on the other side, there is nothing particularly interesting either.
