This is on of the Webtoons that had a lot of potential and intriguing at first but it went downhill at a rapid rate and it became hard to watch

<SPOILERS>

Aight so we have our MC getting betrayed by the other royals and she's the lowly princess of the mix blah blah blah some young boy comes to help her write and educate the girl but he was kinda cold at first and was a bit of a hole as a kid, and of course our young MC starts to simp for him, but he has a cold personality and it rubbed off on her after awhile and she starts to lack emotion cliche. Yes, it was understandable that the audience hated the boy at first but then the fandom got really toxic about him but whatever. Moving on, beginning of the story, great and had lots of potential.

now our characters grow up and our little MC becomes empress later on everything is going great. But here is the part of the story that becomes all rigged, the side character knight who saved our MC in a fire from the beginning appears and our MC's fiancé/husband or the kid that educated her to became fit to become empress starts to become a little less cold-hearted and mature. Long story short, the MC is basically CHEATING in front of her fiancé with her new bodyguard and being a total rude airhead making her really dislikable, and we all know it's hard to read or enjoy a story where the MC is a total dickhead. The love triangle became SO unbearable, legit she's thinking about her bodyguard with a flustered face INFRONT of her fiancé/husband, it just became so frustrating to read. In the end this story reminded me of why I don't read things that have love triangles in it and I am considering dropping.

It's a political drama that starts off good, but after the timeskip. Practically nothing happens for like 20 chapters.

Originally, the interesting thing about the story was that the girl starts off a bit naive and yandere for her childhood love interest. So you get the feeling she'd grow up being smarter, and better than the rest of her competition.

But you don't get any of that sense of accomplishment. She ends up pretty emotionless and the story grinds to a complete halt. It's all long exposition on how she got there and how she feels hopeless in her situation with like barely any kind of plot to even follow besides her depression.

And at this point, it's hard to be invested in it.

I keep it on my back burner just cause I'm too far into it to quit reading.

Wouldn't recommend it to people at its current state.
