Both manga have a fantasy setting and vibe and both feature characters that go on adventures and journey around their land experience emotional changes through the things they go through.
Frieren has a calmer and slower pace but that's befitting as the main character Frieren is an elf in comparison to Saihate no Paladin's human protagonist William,Both characters are OP but Will is still young and growing his OP-ness so he runs into bad odds more often meanwhile Frieren's side characters tend to be the one's endangered by enemies although Frieren's not omnipotent so very occasionally she gets hurt too though she's clever enough it's usually a calculated level of injury to achieve the win. They both have well written self contained arcs and emotional climaxes to go along with their wider plot and an excellent, colourful cast of supporting characters to go with the likeable mcs.
If it weren't for the differences in setting e.g. how demons are used/written and the different gods, the two mcs could definitely fit in each others worlds. Both stories have a hopeful and epic feeling to them that I really like and are overall well paced though at times saihate no paladin has slightly odd time skips due to being based on a lightnovel, the individual arc plots in it are undeniably well paced though.
I enjoy both and think anyone who enjoys one will most likely enjoy the other.
