The Fable

When you're the infamous prodigy hitman known only as "Fable," many things come easy. Being a normal person, however, isn't one of them. In fact, being told that he can't kill anyone for a while may just be the hardest job Fable's ever taken...

This is a 10 outta 10 for me. The story, jokes, characters and action are impecable. I love dis shit and you should definitely try to read it. Now my crazy meta-analysis: You get a good feel for what kind of character is Fable (Satou) after ~30 chapters or so. Satou clearly isn't really a typical (not even including his abnormal profession) dude, he is really methodical in everything he does, Satou's behavioural tendencies are really eccentric, he most often than not doesn't really show emotions except when he is laughing his ass of to his fav comedian ( with whom he has a deep personal conection) and he follows his boss's tasks to a tee even though the tasks are smth like "get a pet and take care of it" or "get a normal job". So My claim is that The Fable is about a person on the spectrum and how he is trying to fit into society. I mean how can it not be so? It's clear as rain that in the plot there is more emphasis on Satou's interactions with the world rather than his work as a hitman (it's still integral to the plot). The main character is a a savant in killing not in living. Deep stuff. What's interesting is that the protagonist is the most pure-hearted out of all the characters you get to see and in that way you see how his child-like weirdness is unfit for society or even more so society shows the worst out of all people. That is because society makes everyone hide their true self, their intentions and their flaws and well Satou is as real as it gets. With each chapter you change from laughing out of the Fable and more so laughing at the world he has to live in. Satou kills out of necessesity, It's his only way of living, while others do evil deeds out of self-interest. This plot is basically if Alber Camus "The Stranger" was about a based dude instead.
