"It used to be life or death, but now it's esports everyone takes way too seriously!" That's the premise. Only clicked bc I was bored to death originally, but what saved the whole thing for me is that the MC also said that it was lame and he didn't want to do esports, like. Yeah, I can imagine, bro. They turned something you fought for your life against into a game to entertain the masses. Pretty dumb, right? I would've dropped it instantly if he just jumped into gaming from the onset without caring, but he didn't. Morons gone dumb on esports just manipulated him and coaxed him until he agreed. Mannn... this would've turned out way more interesting if he lost his shit and reminded the world that superpowers are not a game and just... committed genocide or smth, you know? But it's still just esports. I knew that from the summary, but I was hoping there would be something else interesting to hook my attention. To clarify, I do not think I'm being biased about esports. It is the fact that the premise goes from "we have real superpowers" to "we only use dem in vibeogeim naow but it's weally sewious" that I don't like. Dropped at ch 10.
