TL;DR - I genuinely don't understand why this is rated so highly.

Cringe weeb MC reincarnates into another world as a completely overpowered character, builds a secret organization, and has the maturity of a 10 year old. The entire manga is a cringefest, and the "humor" in it isn't even funny.

The "unique" premise is supposed to be that he tries to hide his powers and superior capabilities, except he really doesn't.  Because like every other isekai all these random things start happening and again and again he's there with his overpowered self to fix things and make them better.

Characters overreact to everything, stuff happens just to happen, everything feels shallow. MC does things that make no sense but the author tries to pass them off as clever strategies, "betrayals". About the only thing I can say is decent is the artwork.

Legitimately don't understand why people like this so much.

~Review written after binging to Chapter 25~

I've skipped this Manga 2x times already because the title & synopsis seemed boring. However, do not let that fool you.

The manga combines an intriguing story, worked out characters and a very nice base idea into an amazing story.

It perfectly balances comedy and action aspects into each other. The typical OP-MC tries to hide its power, is also reworked into something I haven’t seen before.

Overall definitely recommended, if you like the comedy of Overlord and very action-rich fights.

The story is intresting. I like this kind of MC its not like the normal MC (kinda in a good way), the story is about a MC that is the next level of weeb (i mean really) because he want to became an a shadow (something like assassin i guess) he train him self from when he is little and when he became a highschooler he is really buffed and then he think how can he destroy a nuke (yea a nuke) and then he find out about magic (i wonder how did he know about magic (this is just a joke of course i know how so dont comment about this)) and he train to search a way to use magic. In the middle of the night the MC is training him self and got isekai by a truck (yea your heard it right its a f*cking TRUCK who would have guess) and he is really strong (well he gets magic now so his training is worth it?? idk). Well overall its a good story.

Eminence In Shadow[Review]

By Daisuke Aizawa

This story at first glance seems to be your typical fantasy read. However, there is much more to it that meets the eye. The story is intriguing, with the general "MC Wants To Hide Their Power" being remade to a new tier/level of storytelling. It exhibits its indivisuality and uniqueness through its art and characters.

The story is based around the MC's group, "Shadow Garden", which is sort of a vigilante group seeking to protect peace. The series has a fair share of action and comedy-the comedy part is that people think the MC is a mastermind genius;while in fact he does things randomly at times and has no particular reason for it.

The MC's "Overpowered Factor" is his advanced magic and skills in combat, which he intends to use to preserve peace and order.

The art compliements the themes of the story to an amazing extent and the work meticulously explores detail in every panel you see. Truly fascinating.

The MC is a comedic and pyschopathic person at the same time, which shows a very intersting combination that has never been seen before.

This series is certainly worth every second of your time and is an excellent masterpiece. The story, art and characters all heavily compliment one another and advances the story to a whole new level that I have never seen before. Excellent storytelling in every panel.

If you came to read this because of its more "steamy" scenes, or the characters in the cover page, you will be glad to know that many of the female characters in the series usually wear tights, or clothing that compliments their *features*. If you are a "thigh" person you will probaly enjoy this read.

Alright, thanks for reading my review.

First look of the title makes it look like this is your usual fantasy story. And when you read the synopsis it feels like another isekai story. But at the end of first chapter, it was like " This is interesting..." The idea is fresh and genuine, the story plot is simply amazing and also the comical sense is one of the best I've come across.Eager to see how the plot unfolds in the future.
