While it may be short, The Cliff manages to tell a brilliant story with quite a few plot twists, and demonstrates wonderfully how terribly people can act in extreme situations. The story, as I'm sure you've already read, is about two guys getting stranded on a ledge after trying to take a picture. They only have a chocolate bar between them (and no water. Honestly, how either of them survived longer than three days is beyond me, but that's just being picky), so obviously things are going to get pretty tense. I don't know how the characters would have behaved had they not been in such a terrifying situation, but one of them really behaved terribly. It was very interesting to read. If you're a fan of psycological series, you would definitley like this series.
While hiking a mountain with his friend, Dong-uk stops to take a picture with him on a steep ledge which collapses and leaves them stranded on an isolated cliff. He accidentally drops a chocolate bar and it gets caught in a tree below them. While his friend is descending the cliff to retrieve it, Dong-uk accidently lets go of the makeshift rope and watches him fall to his death...but is he truly dead.
The majority of this manhwa consists of Dong-Uk being haunted by the guilt of what fe did and what fe failed to do regarding the single chocolate bar that was had on that cliffside ledge. The story is concise and is over almost as soon as it begins. The characters aren't very fleshed out, but that's because this story is more trying to portray a state of massive anxiety and desperation than individual personalities. The art is in grayscale and is alright, but not anything outstanding.
