Kalia is a war hero, and commander that put an end to the past war, but one day, she finds out that she's... pregnant?! Of all people, the father of the baby is Simon Terroan, her best friend and archmage, whom she spent a single passionate night with. Believing that Simon doesn't want the baby, Kalia hides the truth of her pregnancy, then retires from her job and disappears while Simon is away in order to have her baby. The truth is that Simon has loved Kalia, more than anyone else, and so, the frantic search for her begins.
I'm guessing this is a prequel for the novel and that the above synopsis is actually describing the novel and not this oneshot, since the "frantic search" the synopsis describes is nowhere to be seen. And since this story can't stand on its own, I can't rate it very highly. It introduces a world and an apparent love triangle, but doesn't actually develop anything. And not to nitpick too much, but it feels like a rookie mistake: the narration switches from a third-person omniscient voice to Kalia's own voice. The art is pretty good. It's in the style I've come to associate with webtoons. Some of the background images seem kinda random, like they didn't have anything else to draw so they just drew a tree or something. The half-gloves worn by Simon look stupid.
personnellement sur d autre site j ai lu les 16 ppremier chapitre en novel, la version webtoon étant une forme de pub pour le novel. Il est super bien, je le conseil fortement.
