A while ago I read and reviewed the other, slightly older manga adaptation of this story. Much of what I said in that review could probably also be said about this manga (though my scores may have skewed lower if I had rated it today, since I think I tend to be less merciful in my scores these days). The two adaptations seem to diverge after Estelle's confession scene. Namely, the original has a storyline involving an assassin and a slave merchant and other stuff I don't fully remember while this one has a storyline involving a battle defending Estelle's territory. The final battle in this manga is sorta silly in that everyone on the battlefield ends up naked. It still ends in a spot that doesn't feel horribly satisfying and which makes you wonder why this new adaptation started over from the beginning if it was just going to end prematurely as well and ultimately not add all that much new content for the readers. The artwork is also pretty crappy in this series, though I suppose it is slightly better than the artwork from the original. The biggest flaw with this manga is probably the fact that Tanaka learns a bunch of new types of magic at the most convenient times and is able to immediately implement those new types of magic. Fe starts out only knowing healing magic, but then adds a bunch of other stuff and ends up becoming outrageously overpowered. I think the story might've been a little more engaging if it had Tanaka actually struggle from lacking offensive capabilities and only being overpowered when it came to healing. But then it would've been a vastly different story, so what're you gonna do..
