Zaig Zaig says...

They’re both written by the same author, and as such, have fairly similar feels. Their greatest appeal are the immersing, dramatic video-game worlds with high stakes (if you lose in the game, you lose something huge - your life or your “way of living”). Seeing as how you’ve already read one of these spectacular adventure stories, I have no doubt you’ll find the other just as enthralling.

TJ2012 TJ2012 says...

These two novels are very similier, but in sword art online it takes a more relistic aproch of life and death on a online world, and accel world takes a more of what happens to your life when you decide to let the online world take over for yourself. both novels take place on the same world where SAO starts out 2022 and Accel starts out in 2046(the auther is the same person). So if you like one you we'll also like the other.

These cover humans getting trapped in an MMO while fighting to save others and for a way to escape. However, .hack//Link is somewhat comical while SAO can be rather dark with its “die in the game you die in real life” and player killing player scenarios. If you’re merely looking for something else with the same setting and enjoy fantasy RPGs, it’s time to prepare for your next journey. It’s going to be a difficult one, since you’ll be “stuck inside” these tales, but you wont even notice the hours you spend there - or ever want to leave when it‘s finally time!

I think these two are similar cuz theyre both set in virtual reality games, and later the plot is similar. The plot for SAO is like the player cant log out until they beat the final boss and if they die in-game, they really die. In 1/2 Prince poeple can log out, but if ingame they are killed by an NPC, they wont ever be able to play again. I think SAOs plot is 'deeper' or something cuz its actually life and death. Well, in 1/2 Prince its a ig deal cuz u dont know who the people uve made friends w/ ingame really are i guess?

Ive just started SAO anime and its pretty good so far! Theres actually a but of romance in SAO. And theres no anime for 1/2 Prince so i had to recommend it from the books. I only read 1/2 Prince manga, not novel. Well, i just think the plots are really similar. I might start reading th SAO novels :)

Zaig Zaig says...

The setting is a massive floating continent with a gigantic tower; SAO's has 100 floors and Hyouketsu's with over 200. The sword-wielding protagonists wear remarkably similar black cloaks that would make you think both Kirito and Sheltis were designed by the same person, and each fight to protect a girl dear to them, as well as thousands, using their unique, exceptional fighting ability. On another note, there's also comparable artificial lifeforms who are with the two protagonists constantly - and they're quite likeable.

Well first of all it have the mmorpg type even though there's no prisoned in the game plot but still it affects the player in reality, the romance is similar with the OP protagonist who heroically saves the heroine so bottom line if you enjoyed SAO or Elysion u'll enjoy the other
