That arm, though. I mean, goddamn, that arm, though. I was not expecting that. When the premise was introduced right at the beginning (that Yuji's dream self is trying to take over feir real world body), I was like "okay, so Freddy Kruger meets split personality. Alright, alright." But it became far more visually disturbing than I was expecting and the climactic scene at the end where Mari was also being involved was just super viscerally captivating and intense. I also really like the design of the dream world Yuji, with the scribbly tattoos all over. Purely based on these engaging artistic choices, I bumped up my score for the Art. Otherwise, based purely on technical aesthetics or whatever, I would've rated it far lower. I also very much liked the way the manga ended. It left things up in the air and unshown enough that it intrigued me, but no so much that I felt like the story was unresolved.
