Koyomi Araragi, a second year high school student at Naoetsu High School, befriends Tsubasa Hanekawa, the top honors student at his school. Tsubasa mentions a rumor about a “blonde vampire” that has been sighted around their town recently. Koyomi, who is usually anti-social, takes a liking to Tsubasa’s down-to-earth personality. That evening, Koyomi encounters this rumored vampire: she is Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade, also known as the “King of Apparitions.” The blonde, golden-eyed vampire cries out for Koyomi to save her as she lies in a pool of her own blood, all four of her limbs cut off. Kiss-shot asks Koyomi to give her his blood in order to save her life, and when he does, the very next moment he awakes, Koyomi finds himself re-born as her vampire kin. As Koyomi struggles to accept his existence, Kiss-shot whispers, ”Welcome to the world of darkness…“

The top student in the school, a dutiful girl nicknamed "Empress of Flame," she has an irritating encounter with a light-hearted boy in the school hallway one day who seems to equal her powers, though she's never seen him before. He introduces himself only as Blade, and Arnest soon finds out not only is he transferring into the school as a new student, but she is personally requested by the King to help him settle in to daily life in Rosewood Academy.

This was also following the incident involving Nadeko Sengoku, which was successfully amended behind the scenes by Deishu Kaiki. Koyomi noticed a change on his body “that could not be overlooked” and sought advice from Shinobu Oshino leading him to contact Yoduru Kagenui and Yotsugi Ononoki. Was this change signifying retribution for everything that Koyomi has done?!

Based off the Japanese folktale "Momotaro", a girl named Momoko was born inside a giant peach. She was adopted by an old couple and grew up to be a voluptuous teen. Her three friends are animal Gods Inukami (dog), Sarukami (monkey), and Kijigami (pheasant); she has the ability to fuse with any of them to become a powerful magical girl. One day Momoko's village is attacked by the demon king's army who are searching for fragments of a treasure used to protect the land. After defeating the demons Momoko embarks on an journey with her animal friends to search for the "peach fragments" before they fall into the wrong hands.
