I want an S-Rank skill too! I want it so badly, I could die for it! "You have awakened an S-Rank skill. But it only works when you die." Eh?! What is the point of getting one if I die?!
For me its the perfect novel. I love the character growth, i love all the somewhat weird characters surrounding our MC. The story an plot is super interesting and entertaining for me. I lost sleep for this novel and have no regrets🥰
Cool story, but if I'm being totally honest here, I think if the flame emperor was the main character, I'd like it a bit more. I probably came into this with the wrong vibe thinking it'd be like solo leveling so when I read how dependent he was on the big guilds and was all nervous during interviews, kind of left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Personally not a fan when mc is led around and the instances where he acts like himself in front of the public just seem like half assed petty effort coming from the author to fool you into thinking he's bad ass. If they had combined the flame emperors personality (some parts) and the care the mc has for the bosses, it'd be perfect. The setting is really good, lil ghost guy was also nice and I'd be pissed if the author plans to have him not spoil anything about the tower cause that'd just too improbable for a character like him. If you're reading this, ur sexy :)
First thing, for anyone coming from the manga, I would recommend the novel simultaneiously or first, since there is a lot of minute emotion and symbolism present that makes the story as good as it is that is hard to show in the format of a manga. From the top, the main character is probably the strongest part of the story; there is noticeable growth in his mindset, and his relationship with the "NPCs" of the tower are the best part (especially with Raviel and the Demon) of the story, although his relationship with those outside of the floors pale in comparison. If I had to give my one issue with the novel, which is a personal fault more than anything else, it is that the stroy can get quite confuising sometimes. I have had to reread chapters to understand what exactly happened, due to the way regressiona and other mechanics introduced later in the story influence the character and the world. Overall if you want a story filled with emotion and amazing monologues, this is it. It also has some pretty good action scenes, although they are definitely not the main focus (in my opinion at least).
