What makes these stories similar is the insight it gives to young, closeted gays and their experiences as they navigate through their sexuality, feelings, society, and just life in general. Because, even though this is purely fictional the things portrayed and mentioned still ring with truths. Both stories have everything: gay friendship, young love, first loves, frustrations, jerks, must-protecc baby bois, humor, life lessons, great srt style, the feels and much more.
