Both mang feature cute little kid characters who become dependant upon father figures who are of differnt races from their own.  In Somali to Mori no Kami-sama the races are reversed (human child and demon father figure).  Highly recommended not only for the cute little kid characters, but also for the deeper background stories they bring along with them.
