Solo Leveling was an amazing read, filled with laughs, tears, and lots of high stakes suspense. The concept is simple and easy to grasp, but its made compelling through its frim and well-explained rules on the world and its interesting characters. The story contains a lot of surprises actually, quite a few plot twists rest within this seemingly normal web novel, so be prepared to always be on your toes.

The story itself focuses on the life of Jin-Woo and his struggles at being on the bottom of Hunter society, barely making enough money to pay for his mom's medical bills and his younger sister's schooling. Jin-Woo, however, gets an amazing opportunity when he discovers the "system", a holographic screen full of stats and quests only he can see. The System urges him to become stronger, giving him missions and objectives to complete so that he can raise his rank and become the most powerful hunter not only in South Korea but in the whole world. The story follows his struggles, from his long "grinding" dungeon crawls to become stronger, to his social life that he's trying to stitch back together, while also trying to keep the world at large in the dark about his new powers.

The best part about Solo Leveling though has to hands down be the interesting powers the main character gets, the fight scenes that come from them, and the side characters who only get a few lines of characterization but you love them so much (and I'll stop here before I spoil anything.)

By no means is Solo Leveling a "quick read" but it is a worthy one. If you are a fan of video games, fantasy, and/or action-heavy combat scenes you will love Solo Leveling.

The novel is a nice read, not really funny and relationships between characters seems a little forced.

I can't rate this novel more that 4/5 stars and the fourth star is only because i completed the novel. The novel was good when it started for me even with some noticeable issues and some rushed development, I was still fine with it but the ending was what deducted stars from my book.

Spoiler below, read at your own risk

a lot of life's were lost and a lot of citys destroyed but they human won only because of our MC .

MC isn't happy with the ending that to many lifes were lost and choose to reverse time and go and fight with the other Monarchs alone, with no ideal if he would win or not.

We know that the longer the battle drags on the stronger he becomes, it still takes him 27 years to finish the war and return to earth.

Now my problem with the end is that it made every body fight loss meaning. Our MC can only handle the shadow Monarch powers because of the training he put himself through, meaning that the others with the rulers power in them could get almost as strong as our MC before he completely became a Monarch since he too will be able to handle the rulers power and this in turn could mean that others with powers can get stronger too, even after reversing time other creatures are still coming to earth (author explained that it's because of our MC powers) remember Monarchs still came to earth even without having any magic on earth.

Our MC going back in time throws away everything humans have work. If I may remind humans grow stronger by our experienced, humans would have mourned, grown, rebuilt. Humans would have training to make sure this doesn't happen again no matter how weak we are, one of humans strongest Instinct is to survive.

The author disregarded a lot of things but what I hated the most was that the author disregarded humans and the little power they fought to get just because they didn't get cheats like MC who is petty much no longer human.

The world revolved around MC and because of that, it never showed how amazing humans can be especially when cornered

I ranted a bit but this is my honest view and after saying everything I feel like this novel deserves  3/5 stars

Why not 10 and 9.5?? The ending wasn't as good as I'd hoped it to be. But!!!!!! It was still better (greater) than many out there. It just that I personally wished for a more explosive ending. I emphasize again!!! The only reason I rate it 9.5 is because I hoped for a different ending. But the ending it has still surpassed most by a huge margin!! The comparison is made based on the this manhwa itself and not other reads. Still what a great read.

P.S. Art rating for the Manhwa.

So,I basically read all the novel in almost one go. It took me least than a week to finish it. And its very addictive, cause you can't stop reading but at the same time you want to stop cause the end os near. The caracther is carismatic, its have a ton of action, suspense and the right timing to comedy. Basically the MC want to be stronger and stronger. Another good point is that this novel don't have the harem problem. So, another point for that. Highly recomend.

Omg Solo Leveling was the best novel i have ever read i couldnt stop crying, couldnt stop laughing, screaming from exitment. In every word i read my heart was runing a marathon. I have never read something this good and amaizing if i could i would buy the whole series but i culdnt find it in english to buy. I first started reading the manga but while waiting for 2nd season started the novel. Do i regret it, no, did i enjoy it, heck yeah.

Every second i spent on reading it was worth it. The characterns are created each with their own special personality if you think your favorite is just the MC your wrong because there will definitely be another one that will steal you heart. The best part of it all was the fact how easy the author made it for me to accept the fact that it was finished. I usally end up crying a lot saying "noooo whyyy did it end" , but for this one i didnt cry as much as i thought i would because the author gave the perfect ending and left me whith the feling of being content with what i read.

If you are like me and enjoy reading and are loking for a good novel to read totaly give this one a goo and also check up the manga too it will be easier to visualise the characters and a lot of other things as well, it is just as awesome.

The one part that left me saddened was the big decision the MC had to make, how he decided to take everyones pain and hold the weight of it on his own. There are a lot of reasons why i like Sung Jin - Woo but the main one is always going to be his strength, not the  physical one but the strength to fight for others, the streght to fight the pain he goes through and always move forward no matter what the obstacle might be.
