There are several problems with this manga. One, Binta and others make unreasonably reckless bets with no real benefit for winning. Two, the basic mechanics and rules of the game take a bit to piece together (it took me 'til the third chapter to realize that they needed to hit the discs out of the ring, not just flip them over). Three, Vinta becomes way too efficiently accurate after just a single night of training with poop. Four, there is no point in the discs representing different monsters or being "gold" since all the discs do is sit on the field and wait to be flipped over. Five, the art emphasizes the poses and names of the special moves more than the actual flipping of discs. This is actually the biggest problem. Since the entire manga is about flipping discs over with a scarab-on-a-string, the discs flipping over should be the most intense aspect of the manga. They should've zoomed in or used multiple panels in "slow motion" from different angles to show the scarab hitting the top of the disc or digging under it or whatever it's mechanically doing. Instead, they basically glossed over this most important aspect of the manga.

This is a manga that was cancelled after 3 chapters (about 60 pages of the scheduled 180), and for a good reason: it was really really bad. Extra noteworthy if you want to know just how bad it is: the author (who also wrote Shaman King) nor the publisher have ever mentioned it again in public. I wonder why I ever dug up this crap... The story is childish, even for a shounen manga. I mean, it's about boys who play with toys, and one of them aims to become the world champion... making it basically a childish version of series like Naruto or Black Clover. Heck, even Pokemon feels more mature than this. And no, the poop humor doesn't help any. The only positive thing about this series is that there's a conclusion... well, not very conclusive, but it's something. The characters are all really young, and act their age of course: consistently stupid and childish. Quite annoying to watch... even if shounen characters are typically quite young and childish, there's an limit to what I can bear. Artwork looks like it had to appeal to 5- year old kids... meaning it's bad, and character designs are lame. Overall: don't waste your time with this, it got cancelled for a reason
