Well, I can hear your guys hate that I’m doing another one shot but they are easier to read. I really did like the story line for this one, pretty much mixing supernatural action’s with love and courage undertones. The bad thing about this… IT COULD BE LONGER! They have such a great story that this could be made that much longer and actually have a series maybe to play around with but they don’t! They leave it on a cliff hanger. To me, that’s just lazy creating. If you have a story that is short, then don’t make it as good as this to the point that the reader is going to want to read more. That makes it lose stars in my thought.

The artwork is alright, basically average actually. We have Sara with his white spiky hair that makes him look like his the child of Yugi from Yugioh and Allan from D.Gray Man.

This oneshot is pretty average, not necessarily bad but not really a stand out short story. I enjoyed the concept but the execution was kinda corny. It definitely felt like an introduction to a longer story. The art is bleh. Overall just a mediocre manga, I'd read it but I wouldn't reread it, ya know lol.

Okay, let's get this out of the way at the start. This "one-shot" acts more like the introductory chapter to a series rather than a completed story in and of itself. This is going to come up multiple times in the review, and I may sound like a broken record, but it really does taint what otherwise might be a decent read.

The story is told from the perspective of Mikagami Eruma, who is the average grade school student loser that's used as a protagonist in many manga series. A new student has transferred to the school, nicknamed Satan from the first syllable of his two names, and everyone thinks he's a bit weird, especially since he confesses love to a new girl every single day. One day Mikagami decides to be nice to this new kid, and unwittingly gets dragged into a supernatural world. An entity that calls itself Cupid shows up and decides to help him get points with the girl he likes, but his advice isn't that good, and then Cupid attacks him and Satan saves him. We learn that Satan is part of an organization who's goal is to protect humans from malevolent Angels. Mikagami now continues his life knowing that Satan is much more than he seems, and that's where the manga ends.

There are a lot of dangling plot threads that aren't really even explored that much in this single chapter. We only get the basic premise, the surface of the world the author intended, and not enough to really be satisfied with anything. Also, the romance subplot is cut off right at the beginning, with the girl maybe having more to do with all this than it initially seemed. This is made all the more frustrating because there is just enough meat and intrigue to possibly make you interested and invested, but you are not going to get the resolution to anything, and since the story really isn't developed past this stage, all it really feels like is incomplete.

There are only three characters that are explored in any kind of detail, the perspective character, Satan, and the love interest. The problem is that they are all shells because they haven't had enough time to get into the intricacies of these three people. While there may be a good start to what could be fun characters to follow, you really don't get enough of a look at them to really make any sort of decision toward how compelling they are.

The art is the typical clean, polished shonen style. Character design is appealing, though it doesn't really stand out in any way.

So, yeah. I'm not going to say don't read it, but just know that you really aren't going to get much satisfaction or investment out of the story.

Good morning fellow Otakus. This is my first ever Manga review! A one shot by Miura Masataka. It is called -SINS-. I have very very big mixed feelings about this manga as a whole. Something that is normally written as a one shot can be either very good and the reader would agree that it only required one chapter to tell a beautiful story, but sometimes, it can be mediocre, meaning that it would have been best to include 4 or more chapters, not volumes, CHAPTERS!. -SINS, was the mediocre version. It could have been way more interesting if Masataka included 4 more chapters.

Story: The story all in all was mediocre. The normal supernatural, defeating angels and demons type story. I did find Satan as an interesting character, in other words, an interesting playboy.

Art: I really did not enjoy the art style whatsoever, because it made me feel like I'm reading a normal western comic book such as lets say, Batman or Spiderman. Manga art is very unique to a story and its the most important aspect of a manga.

Characters: Just your normal typical supernatural fantasy type characters. what can I say really? I didn't quite get excited whenever a new character was introduced but that's just me!

In conclusion: Normally, when a person writes a one shot, they shot very very very much sit down and think about what they give the audience. As a beginner reader, I might be wrong in this particular stage. Some people might think that I am completely wrong about the whole story and one might even have enjoyed it. Mind you that this is my personal opinion and Im not saying that this is very bad. I am just pointing out that this story could have been BETTER if if was more that one single chapter
