Earth was on the brink of a third World War when super-powered individuals came forth from each country around the globe, ending the conflict and ushering in a new era of relative peace. Among those heroes, Japan is represented by a timid young girl known as “Shy.” She may spend more time worrying about her own shortcomings than she does battling villains, but she'll show the world that despite it all she still has the heart of a hero!

I thoroughly enjoy Shy as a manga and a unique take on a superhero story. If you've gotten burned out on My Hero Academia after the lastest big arc like I have, I'd say that Shy tackles a lot of the same types of character beats without having to resort to the same tired, worn "big shounen epic" tropes as MHA is increasingly falling back on. The art is pretty and cute, though not earth-shattering, and the villains up to where i've read (chapter 67 as of this writing) are kind of weak story-wise. But overall, Shy is a thoroughly entertaining heroic adventure story that's got an awful lot of heart.
