The Executioner and Her Way of Life

The Lost Ones are strangers from another world, hailing from a place no one has ever heard of called “Japan.” These wanderers have been associated with catastrophes since many years ago, and the solemn duty of exterminating them without remorse falls to Menou, a young Executioner. But when her mission is complicated by a Japanese girl named Akari who refuses to die, Menou embarks on a peculiar journey to find something that can slay even an immortal who insists on traveling with her would-be killer!

It's... quite something. It's certainly not boring. It just seems cobbled together. I mean, just in the first 18 chapters (which is what I've read so far), there are: a secret order of holy killers, standard op-mc isekai nonsense, a love triangle, a confusing magic system based on primary colors and a connection to some kind of worldwide mana pool, a philosophical ponderance on the notion of losing your own morality in order to save the morality of others, a semi- post apocalyptic world, a quest to kill a main character, a strong theme of personal deception, the beginnings of a political intrigue, a terrorist plot... i could go on, but i think you get the picture. All of the separate parts of it are interesting, and worth investigating in their own right. None of it feels uncreative, besides the standard isekai stuff. but there's just something incoherent about the whole thing, like it's a monstrous contraption that's been taped together from all the spare parts in your junk drawer. None of the pieces fit together quite as smoothly as they should, and it's very unclear how many of them serve a real purpose. I'm really interested to see where this goes. I think i could come to actually really enjoy it. But it needs a LOT of massaging to get all of these disparate elements to form into some kind of cohesive whole. To summarize, it is a bit of a mess so far, but it's a fun mess. i have no idea what i should expect from it. it could be great, it could go up in flames, who knows? if it sounds like it's up your alley, check it out. you at least won't be bored reading it, although you'll most certainly be confused.
