The main focus for both series is on children and their ability to outwit their unfortunate circumstances with their wits.

They both start out seemingly innocent and cute but take a much darker turn when the truth comes out about the situation the children actually are in.

I definitely recommend both because they're such amazing thrillers that keep you wanting more! :)

stories take place in a well sculptured world. great world development.  worlds that manipluate ignorant children into take part in a fabricated world. the children later find out that world they know is far from reality

notnurhane notnurhane says...

They're so similar, I'll spoil a bit but they'll both make a sort of group to solve the misteries and it's the same ambience

eyeris0 eyeris0 says...

Both have very similar premises: children living what seems to be an ideal lifestyle learn the dark truth about their situation and must outsmart the powers above them to essentially change their fates. Each series also features a crafted environment that the characters must plot to escape, and where they must rethink everything they knew about their world.

Shadows House starts out a bit slower than The Promised Neverland, as the truths about what's going on in the Shadows House are revealed a bit later, unlike The Promised Neverland exposing its characters to the true nature of their situation within the first chapter/episode.

they arer both such intresting reads that are definetley influenced by victorian (or edwardian I can't quite tell which) england. It's in such a way that it turns so uncanny when every piece of lore comes out.

Both shows revolve around a blonde child who have a master-servant relationship with a rather mysterious person who discover the secrets of the mysterious world they live in. While both having gothic victorian aesthetics with some supernatual elements thrown in.
