Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for my Retirement - Reviews

I understand that this is a manga focused primarily on comedy. That said I still think it's weird that people are saying the protagonist is "careful" or "has a good head".

For starters, she sells various products that according to her "will not make much of an impact in this new world". But then she ignores this and takes everything from electricity to firearms, because according to her "if it's just for her use, it's okay".
She "cooks" in front of everyone as she takes plate after plate out of the same pan. In a moment, they call her a witch for that, but then everyone just forgets about it.

In a medieval world where apparently there is no magic, everyone sees her doing inexplicable things and they accept the " all of this came from my country" explanation (A country that no one has ever heard of, even tho apparently, they are soooo advanced in technology ).

When the author can't find an explanation, he just makes the other characters forget after he's already made them "notice" that something is strange. This Happened a lot, but to be honest, it doesn't bother me that much, and this is not the reason I really gave up this one, because again, this is a comedy-focused manga of the isekai type, so I went easy on the explanations and background
What bothered me the most was the following:
Constant fan service, unnecessarily long scenes of girls taking a shower (Inside a store to test shampoo ??) or MC wearing a bikini in a medieval world thinking no one would find it strange, or whenever a new female character appears, there will be some kind of fan-service either with "moe scenes" or with them changing clothes etc.
That's the most annoying type of ecchi there is because you're blind-sided by a female protagonist that exists just to serve the male-teen audience.
A bit pathetic really, I should have suspected it the moment I saw a "legal loli".
The final straw was that the comedy couldn't save it, it's the basic "thick-skinned" character, and the "slap in the air" when she realizes something, works in the beginning but after there wasn't much more to it
The first chapters are better, but then the author decided to appeal to ecchi and fan service because otherwise there wouldn't be much more to his story. MC doesn't use her skill or resources intelligently or creatively, she just does the basics really and when the ecchi isn't irritating, the rest is just boring.

The main character can say "no" so this is a good point, and the art is nice but common, and again girls are drawn MUCH better than guys, because, you guessed it, fan service. 

I guess if you like lolis you will like this for the fan service and then ignore the problems with the rest of it.

Hilarious comedy in which the main character gets the ability to teleport anywhere including between earth and another world (aka isekai) and her first thought is profit, profit, profit.  Anything from being a con artist in the other world and pretending to be a foreign noble with cosplay bought on Earth, to learning how to use guns on Earth to defend herself in the other world- her goal is to make 2 billion yen (80k gold, almost 19 million USD) so she can live the good life on earth or in the other world. 

Things to expect: people of a European-style world not understanding the typical Japanese small-figure and assuming she's a child because she's short even for a Japanese woman.  Train-of-thought style jokes (haha I could totally be an assassin with this power- BUT I WON'T BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE BAD!)  Lots of laughter.  I would absolutely recommend it.

It has a good story that mixes inn fantasy and modern world into a manga, it has a twist on the isekai genre.  
It has some amasing comedy and action, it is also wholesome and yet fun and full of action.

It has an good start which explains everything simple yet effecient and makes you wanna keep on reading.
the story doesnt seem to have any other mail goals except ''saving 80.000 gold'' but it still makes some great scenarios and so on. 

Art 9/10

The art is beautifully drawn even though its not full coloured it still made up for that with all the small detail in each arts.
If it had full colour this would have been 10/10

Characters 9/10
The mc is awesome and all the sidecharacters as well, its fun to see the mc explore the new world and takeing on these request from the citizans of that world.

Overall 8.8/10 
 I deffinetly do recomend this if you like wholesome,funny,action stuff. 
But some of the arcs are poorly writen, but yet awesome. (Its hard to explain)

The story is the classic isekai with a few changes, the first is she can move between the two worlds, the second is that the MC is a girl and not into the "I'll save the world" trope, she's an orphan that lost all the family (somehow) so she's more worried about making money to have a pleasant life. Just this changes and the resulting isekai is quite different from the standard of the genre.

Author has his feet on the ground for the most part, actions and events mostly make sense and are coherent with the world and characters, people don't bully anyone on sight, bandits don't attack each and every traveler, not everyone is instantly in love with the MC or mesmerized by her, and so on, it's so sad that this kind of normal things enters into my positive points... speaks volumes of the standard of the genre.

On the other hand find annoying minor things, like the MC being unconscious for 5 days with no IV only to wake up as if she just slept 8 hours, not even a parched throat or how the author seams to think that common food and dresses of the modern day are more luxurious that what nobles ate and wore in the past, as if something you buy in the supermarket with pesticides could taste better than an organic cultivated product, or a dress made by a master tailor be compared to a dress made by a random designer, etc., small things that dissonate. Like this there are quite a few inconsistencies, although, some of them or most of them are intended puns, you just have to get the reference, I don't find it particularly funny but that's my opinion.

Where the manga shines imo is in the MC, she has a head on her shoulders and thinks things through and has some insight, also, she often chooses not to take advantage of situations saying life would be boring that way, I just take it as it comes in this case. Also, I like her not shirking from using things to her favor when she wants to, like lying a little or being able to take a more gray stand on some aspects, even preparing her mindset to kill if necessary, to a bit of an abnormal degree in fact, she is after all a modern age Japanese girl, being willing to kill from the get go with no adaptation is kinda shocking (maybe her family's death plays some role here? unknown right now). I think she's a great char. An she even denies people's requests firmly, a tear runs down my cheek each time, after reading over and over mangas, manhwas and manhuas were the MC just accepts whatever BS just because the other is insistent, just a singly "no thanks" is so new! She's a bit odd and makes quite a few blunders, also, she's labile and might go ballistic but this little girl has entered my top 20 favorite char list!

Other than that, art and drawings are good but not particularly great nor cute and the comedy is so-so.

Definitely not the best, but it's still entertaining. It turns into a territory management rather than a store management later on, but I like territory management more sooo 🤷

I felt like the fantasy people's reactions to a lot of modern technology was really downplayed. You're telling me a medieval peasant, who wipes their ass with their hand, WOULDNT freak the fuck out if they saw an image on a screen suddenly appear, or a horseless carriage with a thunderous death machine on the top? Yeah, no. They'd either run her out of town for being a witch or kidnap her for information about that technology. 

Also, the author is UNFATHOMABLY based. They make fun of European colonists AND Russian morons who claim Ukraine as their own? Incredible.

7/10 so far.
