32-year-old Bushido-sama considers himself to be a modern-day Samurai. When his wife passed away due to illness, he promised to raise their daughter into a fine woman. But, for an adult male, raising a child is not an easy task. The tasks range from teaching proper table etiquette to sex education... Welcome to the life of a Samurai father.
There are two points of humor: the juxtaposition of a traditionalist samurai living in modern-day Japan, and a father whose parenting is like a boot camp. This second one is meant to be especially funny since he's trying to raise his daughter to be properly feminine, but is using highly masculine methodology. From chapter three onward, sexuality becomes a major theme. The daughter, Nadeshiko, has started mimicking adult behavior like kissing or using her body to wash his back (though I'm not sure where she picked that one up...) and he's trying to correct her behavior so she'll be properly demure and modest (like a traditional Japanese woman should be). At the same time, two women have been introduced into his life--an aggressive one and a passive one. And it's shown that even though he's a judgmental prude who will intensely yell his opinions about the moral decline of Japanese culture, he's also a lech who leers at and ogles women's bodies. He holds a sexist double standard--thinking women shouldn't reveal too much skin, but not seeing any problem with himself walking around in nothing but a loincloth.
