I love reading stories with notorious, villain-like main characters. And this is a masterpiece. First, the story:Amazing prologue, on how the original party was (pretty much) disbanded, and how it gets rebuilt with strong people. Although I don't really appreciate the fact that most of the people approach him because of his name, or his ancestor, the story behind many of them are very deep and good. The psychological parts of the story is also great, and it really holds up the main character up high. Art:I'd personally say it meets the standards of a 2020 manga, really flashy at parts and very gore at some parts as well. I think it's well described, but I felt like it just wasn't enough for me to give out a 10/10. Characters:At first I thought "Isn't this the template of like every other 'I got banished from the Hero Party' story?", but I was wrong. All the characters are very unique unline any I have ever seen, or at least I think so from the past number of mangas I have wrote. It wasn't a clear rip-off like Arifureta or anything, which hitched up my rating very high on the character side. Overall? I just took the median out of all of them, It's a great manga, would definitely recommend it if you're into isekai stories with notorious MCs. I will mention it again, this manga is one hell of a masterpiece.

I've enjoyed this series. It's very possible that Noel is being overly dick-ish, but I still enjoy seeing the schemes that fe comes up with. I'm also not entirely sure how I feel about the harem-y way we get several female characters fawning over Noel, but that annoyance is largely alleviated by the fact that there are also quite a few male characters who fawn over and idolize Noel (so it's not so much a harem fantasy as just a general power fantasy...which I guess could also be kinda annoying to some...). I will say that I very much appreciate how Noel has a lot of limitations to how overpowered fe is and is actually (physically) weaker than many of the other characters that fe encounters. Fe uses schemes and guts as well as delegation of tasks to overcome such situations. Here's a general outline of the storylines so far (probably with some spoilers): Noel's origin story, largely dealing with feir grandpa (ch. 1) The initial party and how it broke apart (ch. 2-8) Alma joining Noel's party and their first quest together (ch. 9-16) The roundabout way in which Kouga joined Noel's party, including some mafia drama (ch. 17-28) Noel's manipulation of Leon's party in a scheme to gain clan status (ch. 29-present) [Reviewed at chapter 34]
