The story of a guy living in a haunted house whilst Kinako-sama, the earth-bound spirit, is trying her best to scare the living hell out of a guy who can't see ghosts.
This manga is funny. And cute. And has actually engaging character interactions (starting from chapter five), as well as some excellent flashbacks which add depth to the story. Seeing the exorcist Itsuki getting overwhelmed by Kinako's jealousy and self-hatred and other negative emotions makes it all the more funny that the guy (who's name I don't think is ever given) doesn't notice any of this. A lot of the humor comes from Kinako being able to read the guy's thoughts and from Kinako having a crush on the guy. I also liked the other ghost characters quite a bit, with Gen being pretty chill. The character designs are gret. I loved when Gen led the ghosts in playfully teasing Kinako as a way to help get Kinako out of a state of self-hatred (ch. 25). I imagine that this manga will be coming to an end within the next few chapters or so. And I am very happy with what it was able to achieve in in that short amount of time. All the props to the author for creating this moment of enjoyment. [Reviewed at chapter 25]
