Roommates

Jinwoo has that friend, Kisub. That friend who wants to sleep on your couch for a night, a week, and before you know, he is your roommate. Needless to say, life is hard for Jinwoo. Needless to say, his life would be easier if he weren't in love with that couch potato.

If you're into more realistic kinda relationships with more effort put into them and the actual struggles of one and you have no problems with an art style completely different from mangas, this is for you. The traces kinda remind me of a few webtoons I saw before, but in its own unique way. I was pretty surprised at myself after reading this and liking it so much. The art is very different and I wasn't pleased visually speaking but the story and the curiosity kept me reading it and after chapter 5 I was already used to the author's traces. The story itself is pretty funny, but also kinda serious. It made me think like "yeah, relationships aren't easy" and reflect on how easy and cute they usually are in mangas, etc. In this one tho you feel it yourself how hard it is and you can find yourself thinking how things are supposed to go forward. With this said, it's no surprise that the manga takes too long for those relationships to start to proceed and advance things. It's kinda frustrating because it takes so long, but once everything is sorted out you actually feel relieved. I enjoyed the story so much and I'm in love with the characters. The way their life is and how they behave is all so "not manga like" but at the same time I'm not sure if I could call it realist and the way it is made me fall in love with it completely. After getting used to the art style I also learned how to love it and the traces became so cute and good to see. The scenarios colors, the way the characters aren't always using the same clothes, everything has details but in a very cute and colored way. So, with everything said, I really loved this and totally recommend it, but I don't think everyone could enjoy it as much as I did. From the story to the art, it's all very specific for one to like and I can see why someone wouldn't like to read it. It's frustrating seeing the way they deal with relationships after you understand what's going on even if you feel how hard things actually are, so someone might not like it because of things like this, etc. Still, I believe this story deserves everyone's attention and tries. I would regret it so much if I had dropped it because of the visuals or stuff like that, so I'm glad I kept on reading and found this wonderful story.
