Betrayed by his own sworn brother….what can be more surprising? Being reborn into the body of his little sister!
Yes Mulan has a bit of redshirting characters but it's still pretty good. This is one of the few body swap manga to actually show any body difference trial or experiences. Essentially it's Le Chevalier D'eon but actually a little better with more characters, depth, diversity of monsters, and dangers. It shares a lot with Chevalier: betrayal; friendships; sister/brother connection; unworldly monsters; medieval like setting; scheming royals; and so on. The main difference is the swap is permanent and the sibling's soul isn't around. But the action and danger have greater intensity and consequences. Results of good and bad choices are nearly immediate. You can feel the drama and anguish of characters more vibrantly. It's better writing and story tempo. And frankly the major characters are more lively and likable. So far translation is inconsistent and only a fraction onto the all the released chapters.
