A slightly different twist on the villainess genre, this story takes place in modern times (smart phones and all) where one character hits her head and suddenly believes this is the world of an otome game, and the main character is the villainess!  There's just one big problem with her delusion: the main character of our story is a kindhearted, humble girl with a negative self opinion of herself who grew up in the countryside picking her own herbs and veggies and learning things from her grandmother who used to be wealthy.  In fact, the only reason she's even going to the rich school is a scholarship!  (Ouran Academy, anyone?)  The art is pretty average, the characters are pretty cut and paste (rich tsundere, princely type, just otome-like character in general) and the story is pretty average and cliche, but the twist is sort of interesting and it's definitely on the slightly above average end of the scale.  If you're looking for 'yet another villainess-who-isn't-a-villainess' story, this will suit you well.

A very good Slice Of Life about a poor girl finding her meal ticket by joining an academy, and being branded as a villainess by a delusional girl. It mainly is a slow, slice of life / iyashikei style manga, with a unique twist of having it being a modern Otome setting, with an antagonist that seems more delusional and compulsive. The majority of the content revolves around the MC's frugal lifestyle, and her interactions with the main cast in the academy. While she is characterized by her frugality and passive nature, I find it fun that she uses her experience with family dementia in order to rationalize the Antagonist's motives, as if the antagonist is literally insane. The art is solid, but not exceptional. It'a above average, and the characters dont suffer from Wig Hair, but there is sometimes an overuse of effects, which cloud the panels and prevent you from seeing the original image clearly (especially with furniture shots).

Interesting premise, which is ultimately why I decided to read this manga. Instead of being in an actual otome game, we get a FL who comes from a poor and ruined family. She's characterized by a side character, who believes they're in an otome game, to be the rich villainess who'll ruin all the capture targets. Nothing really stands out from all aspects of this manhwa. The characters are cut and paste archetypes from the genre, the plot doesn't involve a lot of humor and you can already see how it's more school life rather than isekai, and I think you can see the romance coming from a mile away. If you've ever read Fruits Basket think of her as Tohru and all of the rich people around her to be the Sohmas. They love her for her humility and kind-heartedness, which heals them since they come from a completely different world. Should you read it? If you're okay with something to pass the time with, sure. It's not very unique in terms of execution and storytelling so there's nothing that stands out.  Reviewed at Chapter 4.
