"Raising the dead is a sin. Maybe worse than murder." -Keiji, manga protagonist This story opens up on Keiji and a friend trying to hunt souls with a bug-catching net, while Keiji's grandfather is elsewhere--dying. Obviously, souls aren't that easy to catch, though apparently it is quite easy to encounter a swarm of them. The reanimator from the title is somebody Keiji meets who is able to manipulate souls and reanimate dead people. The sword from the title is involved in that process. I appreciated the implication that if reanimation were possible, it would just be another way that the "elites" of society were given unique privileges unafforded to others. The confrontation at the end is alright enough, with some twisty revelations and skeletal gore, but the overall story's honestly not all that great.
