Both are comedic shounen series with a gender-bending main character. Futaba-kun has more ecchi moments and is much shorter than Ranma, but both are packed with action and romantic comedy.

two totaly awesome gender benders that will have you laughing forever.i haven't read most of ranma 1/2 but i have seen the anime. defiantly recommend them.

Meron Meron says...

Both have are gender benders with hilarious hijinks antics, strange situations, and have that 80's slap stick. Importunate gender changing moments, mistaken identity and many suitors of the opposite gender coming after the main characters. Futaba-kun Change! does have a lot more ecchi components to Ranma 1/2, but both are hilarious reads.

If you liked this, you'd definitely like this! Both feature male protagonists that have the ability to change gender! And follows their difficult time of living a normal life! Though sometimes they do use it to their own benefit!

Both anime share not only the author, but a similar dynamic and humor. If you liked the humor and character part of the story, you'll enjoy both. Myself, I found Ranma to be very funny, and really enjoyed it. Inuyasha drags a lot, and it is not good as Ranma. But it has it's own merits even if I am not able to appreciate them. If you liked Inuyasha's humor, definitely read Ranma. The inverse is true, although to a lesser extent.

It's from the same mangaka and quite similiar. The drawings resemble each other, though InuYasha contains more of a plot.

Having a romance, that seems forever thwarted is one of the similarities of these two manga.

Add the fact that both have a large cast of eccentric characters, and is penned by the same author, and you can not help but enjoy both.
