Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil (Novel)

A top hacker was chosen by the Lord God to be reborn into countless worlds, always as an expendable villain. With no free will, every world became a dead end. Every one of his lives ended tragically. Finally, after wresting control of the Villain System, this ace hacker decided to enact revenge. Even if his very bones were rotten, he’d choose to occupy the very heights of morality, if only on the surface. Thus, he would change his fate as an abused slag.

Summary taken from Novel Updates: A top hacker was chosen by the Lord God to be reborn into countless worlds, always as an expendable villain. With no free will, every world became a dead end. Each of his lives ended tragically. Finally, after wrestling control of the Villain System, this ace hacker decided to enact revenge. Even if his very bones were rotten, he’d choose to occupy the very heights of morality, if only on the surface. Thus, he would change his fate as an abused slag. --- NO SPOILERS! Story: ARC 1 - This first arc was the reason why I had dropped the novel in the beginning. Thank goodness that people give over-exaggerated praise otherwise I wouldn't have picked this up again. From those two sentences, you can tell what this is: boring. There was no chemistry between the protagonist and the ML. Everyone in this arc was TOO 2d. Next. 3/10 ARC 2 - Not for the lighthearted due to a few scenes of child abuse (between two separate characters). Other than that, pretty solid. It kept a good pace until the very end where it went a little slower for the romantic progression between the MC and ML. I enjoyed this arc for its story. 8/10 ARC 3 - Nice face-slapping. The best part about this arc is the satisfaction it gives you from the protagonist defeating multiple obstacles in his path. Funny plot and characters. Okay ending. 6/10 ARC 4 - This was one of my favorite arcs because although it's one of the few dog-blooded ones, the ending was SO satisfying. This is also not for the light-hearted since it's pretty sad and might make you angry. 9/10 ARC 5 - As boring as the first arc because of its slow pace and lack of events. I didn't enjoy this arc and was always wishing it would end faster because nothing was happening. This just seemed more of an arc to solidify the ML's devotion to the MC. 2/10 ARC 6 - A little dog-blooded. The original owner was really pitiful but I felt like the revenge wasn't satisfying enough despite the fact that it should be from an outsider's perspective. Okay in all areas and did make me cry once. 5/10 ARC 7 - This one made me grind my teeth at the original ML (not the novel's ML). I really liked how it showed the hypocrisy of both the world's original MC and original ML. The choice of ML was.. Odd? But every QT novel has that one arc with a questionable age gap... 3/10 ARC 8 - This one was an enjoyable read because of the world's setting in itself. Loved the MC's turnaround from black to white. The ML was weird in a good way.. Not to mention MC's best friend, she's 100% mommy material while the original MC and original ML were fun to laugh at. 10/10 ARC 9 - One of the few wholesome arcs. It was boring but the cute interactions between the MC and ML made me forgive it. Emotional ending that makes me want to cry. 7/10 ARC 10 - My favorite arc, this one is a true masterpiece. It was a fun read from start to end and I enjoyed the original MC's downfall. The MC's interactions with his 'other self' was also very nice comedic relief. Satisfying ending. This arc is probably the most explicit though. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. 10/10 ARC 11 - This one was... Ehh.. I didn't like the choice of ML because if my memory serves me right, he was quite the jerk to the original owner. Pretty boring, nothing exciting really happened. Ending blowed my mind in a good way. 4/10 ARC 12 - Pretty wholesome. ML was an MVP in this arc by helping the MC destroy all those who went against the original owner. This feels more like a vacation arc than a proper one. 8/10 ARC 13 - This arc was if I went to an abandoned themepark, rode the rollercoaster to Hell and got hit by the train that takes dead souls to the afterlife. This arc was PURELY for plot purposes yet somehow managed to leave me with more questions than answers. Bless all the souls who've read this arc. 1/10 ARC 14 - This one is so unimaginably dog-blooded. I was left a shivering puppy while reading this, my goodness. Even when nothing was actually happening, my body was still tense at the atmosphere. The original ML is tragic but he gets an extra which made me give 5 extra points. 6/10 ARC 15 - This arc was alright. I don't have any particularly strong feelings towards this one. I guess the original MC's ending wasn't as satisfying as I hoped it would be. Pretty bland. 4/10 --- Extras: The novel has 4 extras. I haven't read extras 2 and 3 so I'm leaving them empty. Extra 1 - The extra I mentioned in arc 14. This extra is about a 'what if' scenario where the original ML retains his memory and becomes the ML. Haven't read it all but from what I have read, it seems fine. (This extra is something nearly everyone wanted) Extra 2 - A new whole arc, haven't read. Extra 3 - A new whole arc, haven't read. Extra 4 - What happened after the ending. Don't read this if you want to know about the plot since this is just a 18+ honeymoon extra. Boring and long. --- Ending: The ending for me is nothing but a pile of foggy discharge. I just remember being overwhelmed and feeling numb at the ending. I don't remember anything, I only know that it felt like a new arc with a wave of plot dumping. Good luck. HE (Happy Ending) by the way.
