A series of two-page spreads, drawn in a variety of art styles but often having a collage feeling to them. It includes images of prepubescent nudity, of a young girl's slit and unformed breasts. Each spread can basically stand alone plotwise, but they all focus on same girl. It could probably be considered guro, with the amount of gore, sexuality, and weirdness in it. Some of it feels nonsensical, but often it'll at least create the aura of metaphor--of reflecting the inner turmoil and anxieties within this young girl's mind. Fe definitely feels neglected and unaccepted by feir parents, lonely and destructive. Fe seems to be having an identity crisis, feeling broken and disconnected from feir past and fearful of feir future. I appreciated the metaphor of shedding feir skin and feir parents clinging to the husk of feir old self (since this often happens with parents not moving past some idealized version of what their children used to be). Don't expect a narrative structure or sense of resolution if you choose to read this, or even certainty about what the intended meaning is to any given event/image. It's more just a tone.
