I was very hesitant to start reading because of the year It was made but it definitely expected my expectations on both the storyline and art. I don't know much about Japan history so I can't say if it's authentic or not but it's very entertaining. The art quality at the start was 'not bad'... but you can definitely tell it improved further while you read, and the characters where very detailed. I would definitely recommend this manga
