Both are somehow related to the game theme and have MCs with some sort of OP skill/ability. In the case of the Gamer it's his gamer ability while in overlord, all his skills are pretty much more powerful compared to anyone else in the series.

They both have the same themes. They are both fantasy-themed and both have the main characters be once part of an extremely powerful guild but somehow gets stuck in a different universe that is somehow related to the game they were in. Both of the main characters are also very OP.

Both series feature a huge RPG world, and two amazing players who play it. Quan Zhi Gao Shou just features people playing the game, whereas in Overlord the main character is trapped in the game, but generally the players are held with very high regard and are interesting to read about.
