After losing her parents at a young age to a monster attack on their village, Alicia is sent to an orphanage, where she spends three miserable years being mistreated—and doing her best to smile through it all. After finally reaching her limit and running away, Alicia is attacked by a strange woman who wants to take the young girl’s place as the protagonist of something called an otome game. During the struggle, Alicia accidentally absorbs part of the woman’s memories and knowledge, transforming her from a scared child to a calculated young woman with a mission: to write her own destiny. Now adrift in an unforgiving world, Alicia vows to grow stronger by any means necessary. She’ll need all the might she can muster if she has any hope of changing her fate and fighting for survival.

It was a nice read. It is definitely an ideal adventure manga however it has little to no Otome Game elements besides reincarnators that basically do nothing in the manga just yet. The protagonist of the Otome game becomes a cold-hearted adventurer. There are a lot of females. It's a great read if you like training and fighting manga. I wouldn't call it a shounen though. It has isekai level battle scenes with not that detailed or long fighting unlike most shounen. But heck its only 18 chapters so far. The quality is great and consistent. The story seems to be in its beginings so not much actually happens. There is little to no romance or comedy. I would not reccomend if you like onepunchman level action or GrandBlue level comedy or any hint of romance. It has some weirdly implicit romance scenes like blushing but they go nowhere.

[Reviewed as of chapter 16]First half of the story so far has been about the MC clawing her way up from nothing, attaining her own strength, and preparing herself to fight back against fate. Along the way she is guided and trained by some kind people, but not coddled.The second half of the story so far has started leaning into political espionage type stuff and become a bit confusing. I honestly prefer the MC just gradually building up because I enjoy that type of progression in story.The art is very nice. It doesn't stand out as anything overtly beautiful or unique, but every page is visually appealing in some way, and there hasn't been any instances of the art standing out in a bad way. The artist seems quite good at drawing eyes and hair.The characters are well written. The MC is strongwilled and ruthless. I like that the adults who help her aren't stupidly coddling. I've seen that in some other stories and it just doesn't feel genuine. They have their own lives and worries, and they might want to help this kid, but they really shouldn't be going so out of their way. This story doesn't do that.Overall, I'm really enjoying it and can't wait to see more translated chapters.

the manga was pretty good all the way to the like chapter 9. it becomes midiocer when mc gets involvd with nobols and stuff i was willing to look past it but it got 10x worse with one page from chapter 11. two words ...skirt flip...on a 7 year old
