Otaku and Mr.Taoist

I've read manhuas with this 4 koma-ish vibe before but instead of having a standalone small story every chapter they tried to force worldly plot elements in to make it feel less on the relationship between Yao (Otaku) and Taoist but also more on the external factors too, like having redhead Rapunzel going after Yao's inner ghost stone. Nice try sweetie coz it didn't work out the way the author intended. I admit there were cute moments but it's ruined by how they set up that ghost stone storyline. Character introductions are freaking random, some implied to pose huge threats only to get turned into gag characters in between "serious" sessions. When you finally feel like there's a story going on they insert episodic "funny" chapters to digress from what's happening in the main "story". To conclude there's no storyline at all, you'll be confused, the decreasing quality of the art will get you even more confused, every thing that happened will, confuse, you.  Btw, by definition otaku refers to someone with consuming interests in anime/manga (us peeps here), Sir Yao draws those stuffs for a living so dun go putting a label on him when he's an employed man with a job that doesn't conform to your yuppie expectations lol
