I just read the last chapter of this and it solidified On Or Off as one of my favourite BLs. This is a SPOILER FREE review. The story is about a college student named Yiyoung who is making a start up company with his friends. As their first project, they apply to a company seeking a creative advertisement to appeal to younger people. Yiyoung is the one extrovert of the group, so he's the one responsible for giving the proposal presentation to the company's board of directors. Unfortunately, his laptop betrays him and updates during his timeslot, causing him to lose the opportunity. Yiyoung is determined to get a second chance, so when he coincidentally meets Director Kang Daehyung in a bar, he begs him to listen to the proposal. Director Kang, who just got broken up with, assumes Yiyoung is there to persuade him to accept the proposal with a sexual favour. Though it wasn't Yiyoung's intention, he ends up sleeping with Director Kang. After, when director Kang returns to his office and sees Yiyoungs proposal, he realizes it's actually amazing and he hires Yiyoung's company. Though their relationship begins with a misunderstanding, the two characters gradually learn about each other and they grow closer and closer... I especially love this story because the relationship between Yiyoung and Director Kang is healthy and built on mutual respect. They have their dramatic miscommuniactions but actually talk about their feelings. I really like how the author shows how they both simp for each other. I read the mature version of the story and I can say that the sex scenes were mind-numbingly good. They feel so intimate and romantic. There is also a fair share of comedy, from the main couple and the supporting cast. Overall, the story is well-crafted. It has its heavy and dramatic moments but remains lighthearted and wholesome. I definately reccommend it! There are 91 chapters in the Mature version. I read it on Tappytoon.
