A relaxing and fun piece about a policeman who finds himself dancing to the sound of anger.
"Dancing to the sound of anger," the synopsis says. But even after having read this, I have no idea what that means. Yamashita is a cop who doesn't really want to be a cop; doesn't really have a sense of duty or pride, and barely has a sense of justice. Fe's just doing this job until feir band takes off, and uses feir work connections to hand out tickets to feir gigs. Fe's a sleazy ogler, who hits on women every chance fe gets and uses feir police notebook to write down all the phone numbers fe collects. Fe gets along pretty well with the children of the neighborhood, possibly because of their shared immaturity. Each chapter deals with a different case; there's often a chase scene or a use of force. It's basically like: fe doesn't care, but fe'll still (often begrudgingly) step up when fe's needed. Considering how short this is, it's a bit weird how there aren't consistent recurring side characters. There are some that show up a few chapters in a row, but none that are portrayed both in the earlier and the later chapters.
